I am really honored and feel very privileged to function as the Principal of the D. Y. Patil college of Physiotherapy, Kolhapur. Under the blessings and guidance of Hon. Chancellor Dr. Sanjay D. Patil., we constantly strive for knowledge, innovation and excellence with the goal of expansion and improvement in the quality of education for all our students. “Movement is life, Life is a process, Improve the quality of the process, And you improve the quality of the life itself.” We here at D. Y. Patil college of Physiotherapy, Kolhapur ensure high quality Physiotherapy education which motivates and empowers our students to be lifelong learners and to become a world-class Physiotherapist which stands committed to add to the existing goodwill of its name and bring glory to the Country. Team of highly qualified, dedicated and experienced faculty is our strength. This is taking the college to new heights and putting it on the world map. University provides constant support to faculties and students for organizing and participating in National and International Conferences, workshops, webinars, CPTE programs which enhances the academic and research culture of the college. Our In-patient and Out-patient departments are well designed and equipped so as to provide the services to the mankind, and inculcate the habit of sensitive and healing touch to the patients. Community services through our Extension and outreach activities in the rural areas serve the poor and weaker sections of the society. This fulfills the dream of our Founder President, Hon. Dr. D. Y. Patil, Padma Shri awardee to work towards the welfare of mankind. We aim in training our students to understand the patients’ perspectives to help create a better bonding between the healthcare system with the general population. We believe in training our students for advocating the rights of their clients towards an optimal functioning within the society, irrespective of their race, gender, ethnicity or any other social attributes.
