Sports Physiotherapy

• The department has been established in view of prevention and management of sports specific injuries in western zone of Maharashtra. The physiotherapist working in this department has sound knowledge of on-field assessment of sports, fitness evaluation of sports professionals, preventive strategies, Appropriate managerial skills as required.
• To enhance the students centric learning environment and to foster skills such as problem solving, critical thinking and reflective thinking multiple teaching practices like experiential learning, integrated learning, participatory learning, problem solving methodologies, self directed learning, evidence based learning, project based learning, etc are practiced routinely by trained faculties for students.
